Hello readers, I'm sure some have you are wondering why there haven't been any new posts or recent updates. I'm Lisa's daughter, Jennifer(16), Monday, July 14th around 930pm, my mom had trouble breathing, we had to call 911, where she was then taken to the hospital. She later died from heart failure caused by a heart attack. She was 40. She enjoyed blogging and enjoyed the people who read her blog and she thanks anyone who read it while she went along. She loved seeing feedback on her blogs and hearing about other people's battles and their victories with MS. She will be missed by all, as a daughter, mother, girlfriend, and friend. Don't think that you can't win your battles against MS, you will have many victories, and sad things such as this happen sometimes, but she loved the life she lived and if she could come back and say that she did she would in an instant.

GOOD DAY, MY FRIENDS!!
Sorry for the slow start today....it is the weekend. We all slept in this morning....lol
And, my morning wasn't off to a great start, either. My whole left side seems to have gone AWOL again! Now, that could have something to do with the crappy sleep I had last night...as well as, the overheating!! That's all I kept doing, sweating! My hair was soaked! And even now, I am still over heating..sitting in front of an a/c vent, that is on!
So, this is just going to be a write off day, RELAX, RECHARGE, DO NOTHING! This way, I do not set my self up for FAILURES!
I will post back later, but for now, typing is even difficult....lol

GOOD AFTERNOON!!
Yes, it is afternoon...lol...I know I am late!! I do apologize.
We had an early morning..Our la-z-boy chairs came early, my kids left early - 1 to go to a friends for the day, the other to her dad's(he's another story that we do NOT want to talk about!!) so, it was a busy, and tiring morning.
But, we now have some peace & quiet....lol...and extreme comfort when watching T.V.
Jay, Mom, & Me, we all sat and watched a movie, and was it ever NICE!!
My back has been killing me, so walking has been even more difficult, lately. I usually keep the heating pad on it, so as to keep it from stiffening up. Sitting in my new chair, I am able to do just that. I even had 40 winks, during a boring part of the movie....lol...but then I woke up to finish watching.
I believe that we will be watching a movie again tonight, which will be cool.
I have a little story for you today. Jay told it to us, yesterday...lol
JAY WAS OUT SHOPPING YESTERDAY, AND HE KIND OF GENTLY BUMPED THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF HIM. NOTHING HARD, JUST A "KISS", SO TO SPEAK. WELL, THEY BOTH STOPPED, AND GOT OUT OF THEIR VEHICLES. JAY WALKING TO THE FRONT OF HIS, AND A LITTLE SHORT GUY APPROACHING FROM THE OTHER. AS THE OTHER GUY APPROACHED, HE SAID TO JAY, "I'M NOT HAPPY!" JAY SAID TO HIM "THEN WHICH DWARF ARE YOU?"
Thought everyone could use a "little" smile today....lol

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TO MY HONEY!!!
Yes, today is MY LOVE'S BIRTHDAY!!I had thought about going out to dinner, than maybe dancing, and a nice romantic stroll in the moonlight, for his SPECIAL evening...lol...but then I thought about it, and all the hookers in this city are tooo skanky....lol...HAHA!!!
No, we are going to have a nice special day, right at home...Jay is going to go get dinner for tonight, something he likes, and it is just going to be a quiet day.

As for the doctor's, I rescheduled that for Tuesday morning, as I would have been soaked before I even got off the porch!
With today's weather, there really is no other choice but to stay in....I HATE RAIN!!

UPDATE: Well, today was a very quiet day...relaxing.
Jay had a very different B-Day then he has ever had before...lol...the tables got turned on him!!
Jay usually, at Christmas and Easter, makes my 2 girls go on scavenger hunts to find their big presents...he leaves them riddles in different places, both in & out of the house!
GUESS WHAT?? My girls did it to him today!! AND, they even put Happy Birthday Crepe Paper on our Motorcycle in front of the house!
Jay's face when he came home & saw our bike, was PERFECT!!
So, all in all, I do believe it was a GREAT DAY for everyone.
Also, the lady from CCAC came by today, to do the assessment, and she informed me that a physio therapist would be contacting me in the next 1-2 weeks!! I am VERY HAPPY about that...lol

UPDATE FOR TODAY!
WHAT AN AWESOME DAY!!
I had a GREAT day...AGAIN!!
Let's hope, pray, believe, we are MOVING FORWARD!! I feel VERY POSITIVE, I am about a third of the way up my hill....lol...just 2 thirds to go!! With BABY STEPS, I WILL MAKE IT!!
THE BEST IS YET TO COME!! WHEN I WALK WITHOUT ASSISTANCE!!
So, tomorrow morning, I am off to the doctor's office...lol I am hoping that he will be as HAPPY as I am!!
I was also on the phone with the M.S. Society today, and they told me to get my doctor to refer me to the M.S. Clinic in Hamilton, at McMaster, as I have never dealt with them before. I am going to talk to him about it in the morning, see what he has to say.
Now, what I really would like, is for everyone who is facing their own CHALLENGES, and DEMONS, to STAY POSITIVE, and KEEP MOVING FORWARD!!
You CAN and WILL go on with your life!! YOU WILL SUCCEED!! OVERCOME your CHALLENGE, YOU CAN DO IT!!
Take baby steps, as every day will get better.

LOOKS LIKE A BEAUTIFUL DAY, OUT THERE!
THE SUN IS SHINING, IT LOOKS WONDERFUL!! So far, the day has proven to be another GOOD ONE!!

I have also been in touch with CCAC- Community Care Access- which is an association that provides people with disabilities health care assistance...things like daily personal care, physio therapy...which is what I am really wanting, right now! I should hear from them soon, as they did call today and get all my info...lol
Who knows, by the time they call to set up the physio, I may be walking on my own!! Wouldn`t that be AWESOME!?
Anyways, I want everyone to STAY POSITIVE, KEEP MOVING FORWARD!

BEEN HAVING A BUSY DAY!

My morning has been GREAT!, if not a little tedious, as well....lol
You see, no one understands, and I MEAN NO ONE!!. When you have a good day, everyone just figures, you are suddenly better! And you are going to be that way again tomorrow, and the next day, and so on. You know what? It does not always work like that!! And then, everyone gets all stressed out, because they figure you are suddenly back sliding...lol
NOT THE CASE!!
EVERYONE NEEDS TO GET ON THE SAME PAGE...ONE DAY AT A TIME, BABY STEPS!
I HOPE, BEYOND HOPE that tomorrow is as good as TODAY! But, I have NO control over that! The M.S. decides, NOT ME!
So, let's just hope tomorrow is as good....lol..I have every intention of it being just as good, if not BETTER!!
So far, today, I was able to get out of bed with little assistance, showered with just assistance getting in & out of the shower, have sat and listened to constant yakking....lol...excuse me, there is nothing wrong with a few minutes of silence, once in a while....lol...worst part, I cannot just get up & walk into another part of the house!!...lol
And, when it comes to me actually sitting down and writing my blog, working, or anything else I do on the computer?? HA!! I have a good day, just want to catch up on work, but NOOOO... not allowed...lol
And the reason for this? Everyone is so stressed out, no one can actually handle relaxing, not worrying, or finding something to worry about.
When you have a good day, go with it. BUT, be prepared, just in case tomorrow is not the same. And if it is not, DO NOT stress about it, just relax, recharge, and be ready for the next good day!! IT WILL HAPPEN!!

HAD FEET DONE!!! JUST WAITING FOR GRAB BAR GUY...LOL
Well, the lady who came to do my feet, was AWESOME!! They feel soooo good! She even did some reflexology on them...that was so cool. She was even able to tell me that my right hip was all bruised from my latest fall....lol...I knew that from the pain....lol but, she was good. Needless to say, I will be having her come back again.
Now, we are finding that the wedding cake stairs that we bought for our pool, are inhibiting the water flow in our pool. That is gonna suck, if it ends up we have to get rid of them. Our pool water just looks awful! We are hoping that we can find someone who can maybe set them up differently for us....lol

HAD A GOOD NIGHT, SO FAR GOOD MORNING...LOL
Today, the sun is shining here...I hope it is shining where you are too.
Yesterday, was not one of my better days....lol...I fell in the washroom, AGAIN!! And, of course, do I not cause my right side to be hurt...my right hip feels like someone is in there with a hammer!!!
So, needless to say, so as not to set myself up for failures, I really did not try walking anywhere, yesterday....lol
Instead, my transporter chair was used...it just made the day easier!!
When I woke up this morning, I did some leg exercises in bed...I actually got my left leg to move, as well as 4 of my left toes...lol
But, once I got to the washroom, with assistance, my right hip gave up the ghost, and I needed help getting out of the washroom...but, I made it without falling!
I will just be taking it easy today, so as not to have any failures...lol
Tomorrow will be better, I KNOW it will!!
I have to take those BABY STEPS!!
EVERYDAY, THERE IS A NEW VICTORY!

I had grab bars put in today, in the washroom!! Tomorrow, the guy is coming back to put a couple of more up. to make walking, easier....hopefully...lol
I will also be calling tomorrow for an assessment, to have a physio therapist come in for therapy.
I really need to start moving this leg & foot, so I need a therapist to help me do this.
Also, tomorrow morning, I have a lady who is coming to take care of my nails, for me!
Sounds like I am going to be having a busy day tomorrow....so, I will likely be late in posting up.
BUT, I will post when everything here is done.

I was able to use my walker to get to bed last night,...it felt WONDERFUL!

YES!! I had to go to the washroom....lol..and OMG!! I got there, with some assistance from my MOM and daughter, in record time!! Then, I got out of the washroom, with little difficulty!!

GOOD MORNING - HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!
I hope everyone had an awesome night, full of INSPIRATION, NO NEGATIVITY!!
My BEST FRIEND, Pat, came to visit last night, then, I went to bed around midnight, and slept through until 8:30 this morning. I had a great sleep.
Today, though, is going to be a relaxing day....lol Just a day for RECHARGING!!
That is a key to FACING your CHALLENGES, as well....knowing when to just say...enough, it is time to REST!
I am just expecting the guy for the power chair to come & pick it up today, as well as the other guy for the grab bars. He is to be coming to give me the pricing, and to figure out the placement of the bars.
But, that will be it for today, I believe....lol

I Am So SORRY!! I forgot that today was July 4th!
I hope all our American friends have had a WONDERFUL day!! And I do hope you ALL have an AWESOME Weekend, too!!
As for me...lol..I did just what I said I was going to do, today. RELAX!!
I laid in bed, watched T.V., had a NAP, and I do feel a bit clearer headed....lol drugs make you so wonky!!!.....lol
Could SOMEONE please tell me, WHY do people want to take drugs? I mean, WHY do they want to do ACID, COKE...all those hard drugs??
Those mind altering drugs? Believe me, it is NO FUN!!
Now, though, I am able to at least think straight....Not earlier today, I wasn't!!
I did have the fella come pick up the chair when I woke up, and he checked to see where we could put the bars, for walking...lol He is going to do up an estimate this weekend, and give me the price on Monday. Then we will have them installed....lol
It is going to make getting around a bit easier, till all this passes, which it will!!

RAINY MORNING - BUMMER!!
Good morning, even though it is rainy....lol
Sorry I did not get the chance to update last night...my mom came back, and we got to talking, then it was bed time....lol
Right now, the guy is here for my power chair, so I will be back soon, to update.

UPDATE THE CHAIR....LOL
Well, I had the guy drop off the chair, but, I don't think I will be keeping it past the 24hrs......lol...it really did not help, not when I tried it out. The thing is too low, and small...remember, I am 6ft. tall, I am sorry, but this thing is like it has been made for someone 4ft. or less!!!....lol
So, needless to say, it is going back, tomorrow.
Now, I did talk to the fella about grab bars, though..and, he seems to think they would likely help!! I feel, that if placed correctly, they would enable me to get to the washroom, and maybe even to the bedroom....lol
I am being told, by putting in grab bars, I am giving in....lol The thing is, with the bars, it will be easier to move, to get up & down from the toilet, it will enable me to do things on my own, as well as, give me mobility!! The bars will also help to give me some strength, as well as my balance back! It is not GIVING IN!! or GIVING UP!
I AM SHOWING THE M.S. THAT I WILL MOVE ON, THAT I WILL WIN, THAT IT WILL NOT RENDER ME DEPENDANT ON OTHER PEOPLE!!

MORNING UPDATE - UNDERSTANDING - COPING
Off to a Good start. Did some leg exercises in bed this morning, then did MY OWN leg & FOOT RUB, in bed, all on my left leg.
Jay helped me to the washroom, were I washed up, & dressed, on my own....lol...victory!
Jay then assisted me to my chair in the kitchen, where I was able to make myself a coffee.
Jay has since gone back to sleep, after a stressful night, and he does need his sleep. It is very important for him to not get stressed, and to be sure he gets enough rest, so as not to make himself ill.
After he went to lay down, I discovered the telephone was in the living room!!!...I needed to make a phone call, to cancel the cat appointment...lol At first, I was like CRAP!! But then, I went - Wait, goofy...lol...you are sitting in a rolling chair, you have 1 working leg, roll backwards in there, and GET THE PHONE!! So, I did. It took me 15 minutes to go 20feet....lol...but NO PROBLEM!! I DID IT!! On my way there, I even re-set the a/c temperature schedule....lol
SO, VICTORY!!
I am making my way back up that hill, it is just going to take time....lol
I just wish everyone would realize, I do not determine nor decide, as to when I will be 100% again!! Whatever 100% will be....lol As long as I can use the left side of my body again, with CONTROL, I will be HAPPY!!
I am listening to my body, when it tells me what it can & cannot do. That is the only way MOVING FORWARD & COMING BACK can WORK!

CANADA DAY - EVENING UPDATE!
I do hope that everyone had a WONDERFUL Canada Day! Mine was GREAT!! Very relaxing, & INSPIRING!
So much so, that Jay & I have decided, we are going to rent an R.V., within the next month, and take a trip to/around, the James Bay area!!!
REMEMBER, MOVE FORWARD! We had been planning for another East Coast trip, but, we had also wanted to do James Bay, on the bike. But, since riding is impossible for me, right now....lol....an R.V. will be AWESOME!!
So, I am starting to look into that now. I can't wait!!

HAPPY CANADA DAY!!
Yes, it is July 1 - CANADA DAY!! It is CANADA'S BIRTHDAY!
Today, is a day to have fun, PARTY!, fireworks, vacation, NO WORK!!
Today is going to be another MOVING FORWARD day....lol
Already, VICTORIES! I was able to use my walker to get to the washroom, this morning!! It was so GREAT!! I was then able to get myself washed up, and dressed! Now, I am here telling you about it!!
Slow, small, baby steps...but, I WILL WIN THIS CHALLENGE!! I AM WINNING THIS CHALLENGE!! MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS IS LOSING!!
Now, as I am sitting here writing this, I am listening to one of my FAVORITE BANDS! COLLECTIVE SOUL! These guys are AWESOME!
Back in April, Jay & I went to see them live, in concert, at Casino Rama, in Orillia. It was the BEST concert that I had been to!
Of course, we did some gambling, too. You cannot go to a casino, and not play the slot machines....lol... Needless to say, Jay WON! I did not...boo hoo... But with Jay winning, it helped to pay for the weekend!! All in all, it was an AWESOME weekend!
We LOVE to travel, whether it be in the van, jeep, or on our Goldwing...motorcycle...for those not sure...lol
That is also what makes my latest M.S. CHALLENGE so hard on us....we cannot do the things we LOVE to do, at this time. BUT we will be doing it ALL, AGAIN, VERY SOON!!
One year ago today, we actually were on the road, riding our GOLDWING, hooked up with our trailer for our stuff, heading for the East Coast! 14 days, on the road, along the St. Lawrence River, through Gaspe, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Halifax!! It was beautiful!! The Ocean was Beautiful, all the little coastal fishing towns....WHAT A SIGHT!! We then took a Ferry Boat from Yarmouth, Halifax, across to Bangor, Maine, U.S., and came back home through the States.

I know, today's post was focused more on my travels & adventures, but I really wanted you to see that, YES I did have, and WILL HAVE, again a REAL LIFE!!

Today, is a day to have fun, PARTY!, fireworks, vacation, NO WORK!!
Today is going to be another MOVING FORWARD day....lol
Already, VICTORIES! I was able to use my walker to get to the washroom, this morning!! It was so GREAT!! I was then able to get myself washed up, and dressed! Now, I am here telling you about it!!
Slow, small, baby steps...but, I WILL WIN THIS CHALLENGE!! I AM WINNING THIS CHALLENGE!! MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS IS LOSING!!
Now, as I am sitting here writing this, I am listening to one of my FAVORITE BANDS! COLLECTIVE SOUL! These guys are AWESOME!
Back in April, Jay & I went to see them live, in concert, at Casino Rama, in Orillia. It was the BEST concert that I had been to!
Of course, we did some gambling, too. You cannot go to a casino, and not play the slot machines....lol... Needless to say, Jay WON! I did not...boo hoo... But with Jay winning, it helped to pay for the weekend!! All in all, it was an AWESOME weekend!
We LOVE to travel, whether it be in the van, jeep, or on our Goldwing...motorcycle...for those not sure...lol
That is also what makes my latest M.S. CHALLENGE so hard on us....we cannot do the things we LOVE to do, at this time. BUT we will be doing it ALL, AGAIN, VERY SOON!!
